Public Relations Officer

Functional Description:
This position is responsible for the representation of the institution in the community through promoting public relations and the visibility of the University in the local community. Other key responsibilities include, developing publicity campaigns, PR activities, and building a database of media contacts.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree and four years in related area
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling and planning skills
  • Self-confident and sociable - ability to network effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Awareness of different media agendas
